Military vehicles on display in the province of Udine
A weekend dedicated to historic military vehicles with an exhibition of representative vehicles from the period from the First World War to the Cold War. This is what was developed on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 September by Cingoli e Ruote per Conoscere la Storia Onlus, an Italian organization based in the former Patussi barracks in Tricesimo, in the province of Udine. The Open Day took place in the onlus’ own spaces, with the vehicles that are usually stored and repaired there. These are American, British, German and Italian tracked and wheeled vehicles.
Among the vehicles of Italian army, there were a Fiat 18BL, an Ansaldo M15 / 40 and an Ansaldo L3 light tank. Many goodies that have reached the former barracks to participate in the exhibition, such as several vintage firefighters trucks, including an OM Viberti brand with OM-CH2 D longitudinal front diesel engine, and a car Ford which is an exact copy of an example driven by General Montgomery. Various memorabilia and original engine components were also shown to the public. In addition to a very Italian fixed armored position guarding the Yugoslav border in the Second World War.
