Winter Marathon 2022
It is always a very exciting scrapbook to browse, that of the Winter Marathon. With the shots of beautiful historic cars on the hairpin bends, the snowy passes and the moments in the most evocative race places. The winners of this 34th edition were for the third consecutive time Edoardo Bellini and Roberto Tiberti in a 1937 Fiat 508 C, who triumphed over 130 crews. All with cars built by 1968 or models of particular historical and collectible interest produced by 1976. The route, from 20 to 23 January, was longer than in previous years, of over 500 km for a total of 16 hours of driving, 65 timed trials and 6 average trials. Starting as always from Madonna di Campiglio, the Marathon was divided into two stages and crossed 15 Dolomite passes. But the “special effects” are not over: twice world rally champion Miki Biasion also participated in this famous Italian winter event and was at the wheel of a spectacular 1974 Lancia Stratos.
