Back to the Dolce Vita with the Lopresto Collection

The Dolce Vita exhibition is underway in Lucerne, at the Swiss Museum of Transport, highlighting the Italian style of the 1950s and 1960s through the Alfa Romeo Spiders. Few other models such as the Giulietta and the “Duetto” have been able to fully represent the beauty and the dream of freedom that pervaded the two decades of the economic boom. The cars on display come from the Lopresto Collection, an extraordinary collection one-of-a-kind strictly made in Italy: a guarantee of quality and surprising rarities. Among them, the first prototype of Giulietta Spider presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1955, the prototype of a Giulia Spider never made and the first example of 750 Spider Veloce called “Osso di Seppia”. A pre-series of the 1993 Spider and the prototype of a luxury Spider, the Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider Ghia, which never enetered production, are also on display. During the inauguration it was also unveiled the famous 1965 Abarth 1000 Bialbero Record from the Pearl Collection, recently restored by the architect Lopresto with his usual conservative approach.
