Firenze sotto le Stelle (Florence under the Stars)
Firenze sotto le Stelle is the emotional elegance contest of the Camet-Club Auto e Moto d’Epoca Toscano, whose tenth edition took place on Saturday July 16th in the scenario of Piazzale Michelangelo, the point of the capital that dominates the whole city from high.
Half of the huge square was reserved for the exhibition of 25 pre-selected cars, while in the other half the cars of the Camet members, friends and enthusiasts who signed up were on display.
The cars paraded on the catwalk and were presented to the public – who voted for them – illustrating their history, characteristics and curiosities in the background of the music of the relative eras and accompanied by models dressed in tone.
And, after sunset, the aperitif and dinner were held right there opposite, at the prestigious La Loggia. Following, a show of “Dancing Fountains” with lights, colors and music captivated participants and spectators. The awards ceremony saw the winner of a car for each of the four categories. Here they are: the 1953 Lancia Aurelia B20 GT by fashion designer Stefano Ricci for the Coupés class, a 1935 Fiat Balilla for the Utilitarians category, a 1936 Lancia Augusta Cabriolet for the Cabriolets and the seductive 1986 Marciano 268 GT by Vincenzo Marciano for the Supercar class.
