Gran Premio Nuvolari 2021, Lorenzo and Mario Turelli are the winners
The 31st edition of the Nuvolari Grand Prix, which started on Friday September 17th from Mantua, closes with the victory of crew no. 63 of Lorenzo and Mario Turelli, driving a 1934 Fiat 508 S Sport Coppa d’Oro. The couple, father and son, distinguished themselves from the first tests, demonstrating great skill and technical competence. The second place is occupied by crew no. 99 by Moceri and Pizzuto on a 1939 FIAT 508 C, the third place by the crew no. 2 consisting of Passanante and Moretti of Scuderia Franciacorta Motori, both highly experienced drivers and veterans of the competition, on a 1937 Fiat 508 C. This year Gran Premio Nuvolari marked a strong restart both in terms of the enthusiasm of the public and the number of participants , 267. The route of about 595 miles among the central-northern Italian beauties, has crossed evocative landscapes of Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Umbria and Tuscany. Numerous countries representing all continents and 48 car manufacturers competing, from the Italian Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lancia, Ferrari and Fiat, to the British Jaguar, Aston Martin, Bentley and Triumph; from the German Mercedes, BMW and Porsche to the Bugatti Pur Sang. Over 90 pre-war cars took part in the event.
