San Pellegrino Terme concours d’elegance 2022

The best of the forty cars of the Concorso d’Eleganza city of San Pellegrino Terme 2022 (9-10 July) was the rare 1932 Alfa Romeo 1750 GS driven by Alberto Fontanella, which won the Best of Show. While among the more than fifty motorcycles the 1936 Bianchi Bialbero with Angelo Nava in the saddle was crowned.

The technical juries of the Competition, which was in its 12th edition, then awarded the individual categories. Among the cars with closed bodywork built between 1920 and 1949 the Bianchi S5 Soave of 1933 by Mino Parolari stood out; between the openings of 1950-1970 the first prize went to the majestic the 1950 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Pininfarina driven by Giuseppe Casali; among those closed, a 1955 Lancia Aurelia B20 GT by Carlo Sirchi won the class. Finally, in the special category dedicated to Ferrari’s 75th anniversary, the 1972 Dino 246 GTS brought by Dario Belloli won. Organized by the Club Orobico Auto Moto d’Epoca, the event is included in the national calendar of ASI Circuito Tricolore.

Some special prizes were also assigned to motorcycles: “Best on the road” was the 1939 F&N M86 with Gianni Banalotti; the recognition for the oldest went to a 1925 Galloni; the best preserved was the 1932 Sunbeam Model 9 with Roberto Castiglioni and the best restored was the 1931 Ariel VF 500 with Valerio Citti.
