The 1000 Miglia becomes even more VIP and lands in Dubai with the Experience UAE Jubilee Edition. From 18 to 22 February

“The most beautiful race in the world”, as defined by Enzo Ferrari, will move for the first time in the shade of the palms and skyscrapers of the United Arab Emirates to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the nation, founded in 1971. Participation will be by invitation and limited to one hundred cars, which will arrive from different countries. Mostly they will be crews made up of VIPs from the world of art, business and sport. All united by the passion for the automotive and the desire to put their automotive jewels to the test in the regularity race, which will be an endurance challenge in which their navigation skills and the ability to work as a team will be tested along approximately 1600 kilometers. The journey will begin at the Dubai Expo, where the cars will be exhibited for a whole day, thus offering the public a view of some of the rarest and most prestigious models in the world. Three categories are admitted: the 1000 Miglia Registry Class, for cars produced from 1927 to 1957 that have participated at least once in the original 1000 Miglia, as is the case for the annual Italian re-enactment; the UAE Jubilee Class for cars built up to 1971 in possession of a Fiva passport, and Contemporary Icons, for special models, supercars and classics, produced from 1971 onwards.

Exotic challenge. The first stop will be the Al Ain oasis in the eastern region of Abu Dhabi, to be reached by tackling the twists and turns of the winding roads of the Jebel Hafeet mountain. From there, through a splendid journey along the coastal bays, the cars will reach the eastern mountains for the closure of the second stage in the Emirate of Fujairah. The next day it will be the turn of the hinterland, where a series of tight hairpin bends with increasing altitude await the cars in the race. The mangroves of Umm Ul Quwain, the Ajman Sea and a lunch at the House Of Wisdom in Sharjah, designed by Norman Foster, will be the surprises of the third day, before a second stop in Dubai. The race will resume from the city of Buji Al Arab heading south towards Abu Dhabi for a grand finale in the UAE’s temple of motorsport: the Yas Marina circuit. This is where participants will undergo a final test of concentration and endurance before they can claim to have successfully completed the 1000 Miglia Experience UAE Jubilee Edition. Then they can relax at the gala dinner at the Emirates Palace Hotel. In addition to their successes, they will have the Golden Jubilee of the United Arab Emirates to celebrate.
